I haven't seen Battlestar Galactica since 1979 (i.e. none of the new shows), and I STILL knew what this was going to be about.

They made Starbuck a chick on the new show? What the frack?

Yeah, frak that. But she does kick more ass than some of the other pilots. The New Battlestar Galactica is frakking brilliant, very dark, very sinister, very erotic. I get goosebumps every time Admiral Adama says, "nuclear weapons release authorized."

It looks good, maybe after we get the DVR I can start watching stuff like Galactica and Jerico.

However, I just invested in the 35 disc "Homicide" box set- all 7 seasons plus extras. I think that'll keep us in quality TV for the foreseeable future. Deeeteciiiive Munch...

The next tv boxset I am getting is the Coupling. One of the better British shows in the past while. It is simply one the funnier shows.

But the sad thing is that it's over.

Yes, Homicide is one of the best cop shows EVAR. What I like about Brooklyn South is the fact that it follows uniformed cops. Most cop shows today are either detective shows or CSI shows, no real uniform, grunt-type stuff anymore, not since Third Watch, which was another excellent show.

I personally want to see a modern MASH type show, perhaps we can set it in Fallujah. How they managed to make the Korean war seem funny is beyond me, but Iraq would definitely be impossible to make funny.

You're going to get your wish--some show with a name being a play on the word Mujahadeen.  Guy is basing it on Hogan's Heroes.  Forgot the details, though.  It was one of those 3 am on the radio things.

Set the show in Gitmo- "Hassan's Heroes"

Donald Rumsfeld could play the Col. Klink role.
